Hey there!

I'm Jenny

If we’re going to be spending quality time together, you’d probably like to know a little more about me.

✴︎  My education and background is in Exercise Physiology, Performance Psychology and American Indian Studies. I’m obsessed with upleveling myself and my quality of life, and love to help others do the same. My framework for success is gleaning the best of what we know about Soul Science, Brain Science, Body Science, and the Science of Action.

✴︎  For over 13 years I was one of the top performance coaches with the Human Performance Institute, working alongside Dr. Jim Loehr and Dr. Jack Groppel, two of the most notable Performance Psychologists of our time.

✴︎  I’ve been an ACE Certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 25 years in addition to holding my Precision Nutrition certification for 8 years.

✴︎  I take everything seriously but never take anything too seriously. People perceive me to be intense and intimidating, but once you get to know me you realize I have a ridiculous sense of humor, love to laugh, am the fun time instigator, and am SUPER supportive. I’m definitely a “yes/and” person!

✴︎  I’m originally from Minnesota, but moved to San Diego in 2019. Freezing my buns off for 47 years was not my idea of fun.

✴︎  I’ve been with my wife Tiffany for 20 years and have a daughter Bella who is 24.

And this is what lights my soul on fire...

Doing this work.

It not only sets my soul on fire, it sets my pants on fire! I know without a shadow of a doubt THIS IS WHAT I WAS MEANT TO DO. There’s no separation between me and my job – my work is an extension of my values, beliefs and purpose.

Conversations with good people about important things.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS IN LIFE! Eleanor Roosevelt said it best: “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” I’m not saying I’m a great mind – it’s just that learning and big ideas light me up!

☕️ Strong, black coffee.

Having this first thing in the morning brings me an insane amount of joy. (Sometimes at night I get giddy because I’m so excited for it.) I love the smell, the taste, and the nice little boost of energy and productivity.

Travel.

I’ve been to over 37 countries and love going waaaaay off the beaten path – especially if it involves volunteer work.

Hanging with my friends and community.

I’m a total extrovert and love being around the energy of people and urban centers. I like to be where the action is!

Being outside in the sun and warm weather.

I am solar powered and being outside (if it's warm) is my happy place. Of the entire United States, we chose to move to San Diego because of the great weather year round.

Journaling.

I love the insights I learn about myself, the world, my business, my relationships… I’m who I’m spending my whole life with, so I should make sure I know myself and what I need to thrive. I’m more at peace and the day is always better when I journal.

Growing and learning.

My latest hobbies are Japanese taiko drumming (shout out to San Diego Taiko!) and improv classes. I was an aerialist for years and can also weld, sew, bellydance, bullwhip, dance, basket weave, play the flute, and a bunch of other random skills. You never know when these things might come in handy 😜

Workouts that make me really uncomfortable.

I appreciate them because I know they’re pushing my limits and making me stronger. I know if I can make it through that, I can make it through just about anything. It’s a huge foundation to my sense of confidence.

Being a mother and a wife.

To be completely honest, I’m still surprised at how much I love being a mother. It’s the most profound and important job I’ve ever had. I’m so proud of who my daughter Bella has become and the close relationship we have. And my wife Tiffany is my favorite person on this whole entire planet (and I’ve met a lot of people!). I never believed in soul mates or past lives until I met her. And we have THE MOST fun together – our specialty is being idiots.

You know what else would set my soul on fire?
